Products & Solutions:PACS Design
EBM PACS Designed for security, quality, versatility, and ease-of-use
Our first priority at EBM is helping you ensure the highest level of patient care. We manifest this in our PACS architecture design which is defined as: Secure, Data-Redundant, Reliable, Flexible, Able to Integrate, and Customizable.
Secure
The need for security in Healthcare is paramount. EBM meets the HIPAA requirements of security and privacy features to facilitate hospitals. Our PACS adheres to network and file secrecy where the SSL image communication is protected with user authentication login for authorized personnel to retrieve images, and files that are 192-bits encrypted. EBM PACS eliminates open-ended access to studies left open with an automatic logoff feature.
Data Redundant
In order to safeguard hospital management systems from an unexpected crisis, EBM PACS provides Data Redundancy. Each image has at least 2 copies, original copy and other place copy, simultaneously created, and an additional off-line copy produced every time spanned. Each of the 3 copies contains its own database (specific study information including patient demographics, prior reports, annotations and notes, archive locations, and exam routing rules). Thus, if a disaster occurs, the hospital can rebuild by using an EBM UniServer?and a back-up workstation; UniServer?does the drawing and back up. EBM recommends hospitals to have three copies in a different location for disaster recovery.
Reliable
EBM PACS server delivers 99% uptime, ensuring the PACS operates smoothly and under steady control. Our PACS design includes 2 sets of network infrastructure so if one goes down the other can communicate as back up. EBM's robust PACS is resilient to hardware failure (clustering) and virus attacks. For every server, we always consider redundancy which covers the entire IT infrastructure.
EBM Reliability:
- 99% Uptime
- Fault Tolerance
- Redundancy
- Turnkey Solutions
- EBM Monitoring Service
Flexible
Since imaging volume is growing at exponential rates, it is imperative to have a scalable solution to adapt to the high volumes. EBM solutions can grow in terms of volume, depth of storage, or number of supported users and modalities, and we offer a flexible storage based upon your budget.
Standards-Based. Because it's fully HL7- and DICOM-compliant, the multi-modality, multi-vendor compatible EBM PACS system integrates all DICOM-compliant modalities and interfaces with your existing HIS, taking in a wide array of image genres - from x-ray images to ultrasound, CT, RT, positron emission tomography, angio and more. You'll be able to display multiple images, patient data and examination data, as well as reports, all on a familiar Windows-based workstation with single, dual or four display monitors.
Open Architecture. EBM adopts open-architecture standards which means its system can integrate into any kind of hardware, modality or software. Open architecture provides a structure for the user to have easy data exchange, data sharing and system expansion capability. In addition to these benefits, having an open architecture lowers the total cost of ownership and produces a higher return on investment. Decreased labor and maintenance fees are also a result and the longer life cycle of the system ensures optimal investment.
Off-the-shelf Hardware. The PACS system is Windows-based, and as such runs on proven hardware from some of the most trusted names in the industry, which means there's not expensive proprietary equipment. We can integrate with MS SQL and Oracle and our system is therefore more flexible to employ any new storage or operation system.
Able to Integrate
EBM products are built with a relentless emphasis on quality and testing. You can select which applications meet your requirements and EBM guarantees the integration is sound and seamless. We understand the imperativeness of interoperability and actively partake in IHE's various integration profiles. EBM is the most active IHE-J participating vendor in Japan in 2007. We heralded remarkable success at IHE- North America 2007, especially in our Mammography workstation which is one of the few products around that supports multi-modality and multi-vendor images all on a single workstation.
Since we own three world class software research and development teams, we can provide the most reliable, rich-featured interface tailored to your needs. EBM's products ardently comply with International standards such as DICOM, HL-7, and HIPAA and have passed the conformance tests.
Customizable
EBM customizes solutions to fit your exact needs. Why? Because we know that in order for you to achieve the best patient care, we need to adapt our solutions to your precise working environment. Following standards-based architecture for PACS, our strong in-house R&D support can modify and expand the systems more flexible to fit your requirements, enabling you to be more effective.
