Annual Intellectual Property Management Plan

I. Intellectual Property Management Policy, Objectives, and System

Intellectual Property Management Policy:

Emphasizing the importance of intellectual property rights to enhance the value of research and development.

Intellectual Property Management Objectives for Fiscal Year 2024 (ROC Year 113):

To implement effective intellectual property management, the Company plans to submit:

Two (2) patent applications (including invention, utility model, or design patents);

Ten (10) trademark applications.

Intellectual Property Management System:

Conduct quarterly discussions with R&D departments to identify technical content with patentable potential.

Perform internal patent searches to complete design-around strategies and ensure patentable features.

Discuss with cooperating patent and trademark firms to ensure that the patent specifications they produce meet adequate quality standards.

II. Acquisition, Protection, and Maintenance of Intellectual Property Rights

A management system has been implemented for the acquisition, protection, and maintenance of intellectual property rights.

Every six months, the system is reviewed to determine whether corrective actions are required, and revisions are completed and subsequently implemented.

For the acquisition and maintenance of intellectual property rights, the Company has designed a certificate management system and an expiration date management system, which can regularly notify intellectual property rights that are approaching expiration or require annual fee payments. This reduces the likelihood of missed annual fee payments or renewals due to human oversight.

III. Determination and Provision of Resources Necessary for the Effective Implementation and Maintenance of the Intellectual Property Management System

Resources are categorized into human resources and physical resources, and are assessed based on the requirements of the management system.

Human Resources: Internal patent search personnel, communication liaison with patent firms, maintenance personnel, units responsible for handling intellectual property litigation.

Physical Resources: R&D equipment (computers), necessary R&D software, annual fee management forms, expiration notification systems and web platforms, public search databases.

All of the above resources are in place.

When changes are made to the management system, consideration is given to whether corresponding adjustments to human and physical resources are also required.

IV. Monitoring Internal and External Risks or Opportunities Related to Intellectual Property Management and Taking Response Measures

Restrictions Prior to Technology Disclosure:

Before patent publication, key technologies or results must not be disclosed, reducing the risk of losing patent eligibility due to public disclosure of technology or publications.

Implementation of Internal Patent Searches:

Patent searches are conducted before or during R&D activities to enable appropriate R&D or design-around strategies, thereby reducing the likelihood of infringement risks.

Implementation of Relevant Training:

Departments responsible for intellectual property regularly participate in training programs or seminars to strengthen awareness of intellectual property rights and current legal regulations. This enhances sensitivity and professional capability regarding intellectual property, increases the likelihood of successful IP registration, and reduces the risk of infringement.

V. Planning and Implementation of Continuous Improvement Mechanisms to Ensure the Effectiveness of the Intellectual Property Management System

With regard to continuous improvement mechanisms, the Company has established Corrective and Preventive Action Control Procedures and Quality Audit Control Procedures. In addition to intellectual property-related incidents, any nonconformities identified through external or internal audits must be investigated in accordance with corrective and preventive action procedures. This includes processes such as event description, root cause analysis, planned corrective actions, verification of corrective action effectiveness, and review.

Through the above procedural controls, the effectiveness of the management system can be reviewed and appropriately strengthened.

VI. Intellectual Property Management Plan and Implementation Status

On August 7, 2023, the Company submitted intellectual property-related matters to the Board of Directors.
